ENTREPRENEURSHIP & TECHNICAL TRAINING, EXPOSURE VISITS

Training and exposure visits have often been a starting point for many of today's successful entrepreneurs. PRIME offers, in collaboration with other government departments, access to various entrepreneurship related services like trainings, market connects, buyer-seller meet etc.

INCUBATION

The flagship initiative behind PRIME is the Chief Minister’s E-Champion Challenge and PRIME Incubation Program. This state-wide, annual event specifically seeking 75 entrepreneurs with businesses showing early signs of success, such as first revenues or customer traction.

PRIME RURAL

Prime Rural is committed to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across the state. Through PRIME Rural, this mission is taken deep into the heart of rural communities, providing doorstep incubation to every village and uncovering hidden entrepreneurial talents.

PRIME FUNDING

Four dedicated funding options are available for the entrepreneurs of Meghalaya under the PRIME program depending on type and stage of business. Those funding opportunities are specifically targeted towards the Startup Entrepreneurs as well as Nano Entrepreneurs of the state who have the capability to scale up their businesses and create livelihood opportunities and jobs for many individuals in the state.

CM ELEVATE

A flagship program designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in various sectors like agriculture, tourism, animal husbandry and more. Through financial assistance, including subsidies and easy access to loans, CM-ELEVATE aims to create jobs, boost local businesses, and drive economic growth.

MEGHALAYA RECOGNISED AS A "LEADER" AT NATIONAL STARTUP DAY 2026

Meghalaya was conferred a Certificate of Appreciation under the States’ Startup Ecosystem Ranking (5th Edition), recognizing the state as a Leader for its outstanding efforts in building a strong and vibrant startup ecosystem. This recognition reflects the state’s continued commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup-led growth.

“TOP PERFORMER” IN DEVELOPING A STRONG STARTUP ECOSYSTEM

Meghalaya has been recognized as a “Top Performer” in developing a strong startup ecosystem in the States Startup Ranking 2022 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. This achievement celebrates the collective efforts of Meghalaya’s entrepreneurial community, with PRIME playing a key role through initiatives like incubation, funding, and ecosystem development.

MEGHALAYA "BEST PERFORMER" AWARD IN NATIONAL STARTUP RANKINGS 2021

Meghalaya has been recognised as the ‘Best Performer’ in developing a strong Startup ecosystem in the State in the National Startup Rankings- 2021. The result of the 3rd edition of ranking of states in support to the startup ecosystem were released by Hon’ble Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal, on the 4th of July, 2022 in a felicitation ceremony in New Delhi.
